IMG_0389ANGEL TREE

The Salvation Army Angel Tree began in 1984 and provides underprivileged children with holiday gifts to let them know someone cares. Angel Tree is a huge undertaking that requires intense planning and help from generous donors and volunteers like YOU!

Donors get to help make a child’s Christmas merry by adopting an “angel”, a child, who needs clothing and toys. Volunteers help prospective donors select an angel and make sure the donor’s gifts are given to the adopted angel’s parents in time for Christmas. The angel’s family also received a gift card for food.

Each year nearly 3,000 families and more than 7,000 children are served through the program.

RED KETTLE CAMPAIGN

IMG_5065Since 1891, the “miracle” of Christmas has been repeated over and over again through the joy of caring and sharing. Donations to our Red Kettles provide not only Christmas dinners, clothing and toys for families in need, they also help with financial assistance throughout the year.

Volunteers distribute gifts to shut-ins in hospitals and nursing homes, and shelters are open for sit down dinners. The Salvation Army endeavors to bring spiritual light and love to those it serves at Christmas and year round so that the real meaning of the season is not forgotten.
